L’Union des origines

L’Union des origines, a work by André Bucher donated to the town of Cologny, is now installed along the Greater Geneva Greenway, near the Pré-Picot School. Set within this greenway, it complements daily life while adding a symbolic dimension to the landscape.

Through its title, the sculpture evokes the shared roots and invisible bonds that connect people and places. It suggests an encounter between different histories and identities, in a spirit of balance and dialogue. Its placement in a location frequented by a diverse public, particularly children, reinforces this idea of transmission and continuity. It thus invites us to take a closer look at what brings us together, beyond our individual differences.
