Reconnecting Protocols is a project of the (re)connecting.earth Biennale that explores new ways of relating to living systems through artists’ “instructions.”

In everyday life, instructions structure our behaviour; here, they become open-ended proposals that invite us to rethink coexistence with other species and urban ecosystems. Presented as posters or printed interventions in public space and exhibition venues, they propose gestures, actions, or reflections around ecological transition.

Local and international artists contribute to these sensitive protocols, joined by artists from each participating city, anchoring the project in specific local contexts.

Rooted in the history of conceptual art and instructional practices, the project extends this approach into contemporary ecological concerns. It is accompanied by talks, workshops, urban walks, and performances that expand these propositions and invite new ways of experiencing relationships between humans and non-humans.
