Liaison intérieur-extérieur (Interior-exterior connection)

The work Liaison intérieur–extérieur (Interior-exterior connection) by Ute Bauer, a sculptor from Chêne, is situated along the Greater Geneva Greenway as a historical fragment that shows us what the site looked like before its transformation.

Created using a component from the CEVA’s Micheline line, it revives the memory of this former railway line, now transformed into a greenway.

The work acts as an interface: it connects the area’s industrial past to its contemporary uses, while questioning how we inhabit and traverse spaces. It thus offers passersby an experience that is both physical and symbolic, where the history of the site engages with current issues of mobility, ecology, and urban transformation.
