In 2026, the Biennale takes place along the Voie verte running from the Eaux-Vives station to Annemasse. This active mobility infrastructure also offers spaces that are particularly conducive to biodiversity. The Voie verte Geneva–Annemasse corresponds to the left-bank section of the larger Voie verte d'agglomération route. Inaugurated in 2018, it allows cyclists and pedestrians to travel from the Eaux-Vives station to Annemasse along a 4-kilometre route.

It was built beneath a former railway line known as the Micheline. The surface space freed up was used to create an active mobility corridor and ecological compensation zone, with dedicated biodiversity features.
