Sensitive resources
29.04. – 14.06.2026
Third edition of the art and urban nature biennale
From the Comédie de Genève to Villa du Parc in Annemasse, the Biennale follows the Green Way and explores the natural resources shaping our territories, infrastructures and imaginaries.
Installations, videos, sculptures, instructional works and performances invite visitors to look differently at what flows through everyday life: sand, soil, water, energy, minerals, vegetation, infrastructures and invisible networks.
Spread across public space, Léman Express stations, the Comédie de Genève and Villa du Parc, the Biennale unfolds as a journey to experience on foot, by bicycle or by public transport.

A Biennale rooted in a transforming territory
This third edition takes shape along the Green Way, an infrastructure born from the construction of the Léman Express. What was once a large excavation site has become a corridor for soft mobility, biodiversity and public circulation.
The Biennale focuses on natural resources: their extraction, circulation, transformation and impact on living environments. Rather than delivering fixed answers, the artworks open spaces for attention, questioning and discussion.
A grain of sand enlarged to monumental scale, immersive mining landscapes, real-time visualizations of air circulation or installations built from industrial materials shift our perception of what seems familiar.
Conceived as a collaborative project, the (re)connecting.earth Biennial brings together twenty Swiss, French, and international artists, as well as scientists and numerous cultural and associative partners. It builds connections between non-governmental organisations and citizens, creating bridges between art, science, and society.
An initial co-creation phase, developed in partnership with Climate Week, made it possible to collectively explore our relationship with natural resources. The ideas and contributions emerging from this process (available on the dedicated page) have informed the development of this new edition.
